June Rally-Florence IN Follow the River Resort

Coaches all lined up at Follow the River RV Resort.  Pool just behind us, sand volleyball court too.  A paved walking trail along a creek, a catch and release pond just behind the club house,  a band on Saturday night, and lots of food, friends, and touring.  Thursday night we ate at Belterra's buffet.  Thanks Tim for the discount of our meals.
The club house was open and air conditioned for our use.   Great support from the owners.

Larry and Ed grilling out for Friday night hospitality.  Good brats.  Thank you Larry and Judy for a great Rally.
And here is a close-up of the smoking grill.
Jim and Carolyn.  I think the discussion was about Golf!

Visitors and friends get to know a bit about each other as we await the feast!

Hum, one of these folks had a birthday on Saturday.  Hint it is the "old" man on the left!    Norm we'll never tell cause you don't look or act your age.  :)
Jerry hardly ever gets one over on Lauren no matter how much he tries.

Johnny and Janice

Just waiting on the brats to finish cooking on Friday night.    We excel in the food department!

Ed and Linda

Art and Pat Z.  I am thinking there was a fish story being spun here.
Oh yes and the spread was out for the Saturday night pitch-in.
We had a great meal and then several listened to the band on the stage in the amphitheater.  Most of us could hear it from out coaches.  Good band.  Bluegrass.  All provided by the resort.

Jerry and I drove to the Kentucky Speedway on Saturday morning.    Wow, much larger than I had expected and of course this picture only takes in a portion of the seating.  There were four cars on the track.  Hope their next race goes much smoother than the one with all the traffic difficulties last year.  Looks like they have added new roads.

Saturday night as several of us sat around until midnight just catching up, we were surprised by a UFO.  Well at least it is an UFO to us.  It looked much like something on fire......and then after it was out of site...a second one came over.  They were way too high to be balloons although that is one of our theories, and moving way to fast to be a balloon....especially after the second one came over made us think it wasn't a balloon.    Absolutely no sound associated with them.  There may have been more but Lauren was the spotter.  If she had not seen them the rest of us would have missed the siting.  Now a mystery to be solved.   I may call back to the resort and ask if this is something they know about.  Surely there is a reasonable explanation.

This was in Vevay just outside a boutique.  Each of us were tempted by several items but resisted the temptations.  We ate at a nice little place with pizza, spaghetti, salad, and awesome breadsticks.  All for  $5.25 a person at lunch.  Then we visited Margie's Quilt Shop in Madison and a Huge antique mall.
Carrollton got some visits from several of our members over the weekend too.

Hope to see you all soon.  July is at Cave Country RV at Cave City, KY.
July 19th.
